Mapp Gas Torch and Multimeter for Stator
I usually sand the enamel coating off of my magnet wire. However, quick way is to use a torch to burn the coating off. I use a simple Mapp gas torch that I got at Home Depot. I heat the wire for a second to brown the coating. If you hold it there more than a second the copper will melt. I then sand the charred coating right off.
A multimeter is essential for testing your resistances and continuity. I have a few multimeters. I like the one I have from Vector.
