Finished Wind Turbine

Here is a view of the finished turbine. It has already begun to inject power into the grid. The tower is 42' tall. I plan on making power in the winter when the leaves are down.

Here is a closer view of the rotor. The cage serves two purposes. One it acts as a guard in case any of the magnets come loose. Second, it will take a lightning hit first, instead of the wiring. I am hoping for it to act as a Faraday Cage. As far as lightning protection goes, I have the tower grounded with two #6 wires connected to an 8' deep 1/2" copper rod. The wiring from the tower connects to a lightning arrestor that is connected to its own 8' deep 1/2" copper rod. Furthermore, each phases of the wiring is coiled ten times to add inductance for an intense voltage spike.
